Musician Nick Cannon Amplifies Indy 500 Star Power with Honda’s Fastest Seat in Sports

Musician, actor, producer, host and entrepreneur Nick Cannon will take a high-speed thrill ride with racing legend Mario Andretti in Honda's Fastest Seat in Sports to kick off the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500 Presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Sunday, May 27.

A presence in the entertainment industry from a young age, Cannon has created, hosted, written and produced shows over the past two decades, while also releasing music projects. Additionally, he is the creator, producer and host of the longest-running hip-hop show in TV history, MTV's "Wild 'N Out," which is gearing up for its 12th season this summer.

Cannon and Andretti will meet immediately before getting into Honda's Fastest Seat in Sports, which occurs at the start of the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500 at 12:20 p.m. (ET) Sunday. Cannon and Andretti will turn high-speed laps in a custom-made two-seater Indy car to help lead the full field of 33 drivers to the green flag.

"Nick Cannon is one of the entertainment industry's most celebrated and well-liked personalities," Hulman Motorsports Chief Marketing Officer CJ O'Donnell said. "Millions of Americans have cheered him on for nearly two decades, and now millions more will applaud as he takes one of sports' most iconic rides to kick off the Indy 500."

Cannon debuted on television as a series regular on Nickelodeon's long-running series "All-That," which made him the youngest staff writer in TV history. Cannon made his feature film debut in "Men in Black II," going on to star in the cult classic "Drumline" and many other exciting film and TV projects.

In tandem with his appearance at the Indy 500, Cannon's company, NCredible Audio, will release the N1 and AX1 wireless headphones this weekend. They are available at retail outlets across the nation. For more information or to locate a store near you, visit NCredibleAudio.com.

In its ninth consecutive year, Honda's Fastest Seat in Sports helps to kick off each Verizon IndyCar Series race and is driven by racing legend Mario Andretti or race car driver and ABC's "The Bachelor" star Arie Luyendyk Jr. Recent participants include Lady Gaga, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg and Julian Edelman.
