2019 AP college football poll unveiled: Oklahoma, Texas are area's top teams; A&M lands just outside top 10

The first installment of the 2019 AP college football poll has been released. Just like last season, Clemson and Alabama are atop the national landscape, coming in at Nos. 1 and 2 in the poll, respectively.

And just like last season, Oklahoma and Texas are atop the area landscape, coming in as the two top-ranked schools.

Oklahoma is No. 4 in the poll. Texas is No. 10.

In January, the SportsDay staff put together its way-too-early college football poll for the 2019 season. Oklahoma was No. 4, Texas was No. 9 and Texas A&M was No. 11. Iowa State (No. 19) was the only other Big 12 school to make the poll. TCU and Baylor did receive some votes.
