Handball: Qatar to play Hong Kong in Olympic qualifiers

Qatar’s handball team will begin the Asian qualifying campaign for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games by facing Hong Kong.

The Asian Handball Federation announced the schedule of the qualifying matches to be held in Doha from October 17 to 26 with the participation of eight teams divided into two groups.

The first group includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia, India and Hong Kong, while the second group includes Bahrain, South Korea, Iran and Kuwait.

The Qatari team will start their campaign against Hong Kong on the opening day on October 17.

Then they will play their second match against India on Saturday, October 19 and conclude their preliminary round match against Saudi Arabia on Monday, October 21.

Only the top-ranked teams will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
