Brandon Wheat Kings prospect Jake Chiasson has been chosen as British Columbia’s minor hockey player of the year by HockeyNow Magazine.

Chiasson, who was selected in the first round of the 2018 draft by the Wheat Kings and signed with the club during their prospects camp in early June, was joined by Sean Tschigerl in Alberta and Jamie Drysdale in Ontario as top players in their province.

Chiasson, a 15-year-old from Abbotsford, plans to play midget prep at his hometown Yale Hockey Academy next season.
