Born and raised in Calgary, Michael joined Global Calgary as a digital journalist in 2018 and is the live reporter for Global News Morning.
With a focus on stories that affect the community, he also covers a wide range of topics including court, Canada’s aviation sector, and has covered a number of local, provincial and federal elections both as a reporter and a videographer and has been at the scene of numerous breaking news stories for Global News Morning.
A graduate of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Broadcast News program, he was a radio anchor and reporter before making the move to television.
In his spare time, you can find him at the airport or near an airshow honing his aviation photography skills. He also enjoys cooking, barbecuing and taking day trips to B.C.
