Nebraska volleyball took to the court on Saturday to show off new players and remind everyone what returning players are made of.They faced Denver at the Health and Sports Center in Kearney.The Huskers got things started, getting on the board first, and moments later, Merritt Beason came out with a slam, bringing Nebraska to 4-0 lead.Beason then again threw it down, this time from the back, extending Nebraska's lead to 10-4.With her brother and Nebraska basketball star Josiah Allick in attendance, Bekka Allick slammed it down, bringing Nebraska to a 13-6 lead.After returning from a season-ending injury, Lindsay Krause got the kill to give Nebraska the set 1 win, 25-13.Set 2 went off with a boom as the Huskers went on an early 4-0 run, which included a pair of kills from Krause and Andi Jackson.Bergen Reilly came in with a sneak attack to bring the Husker lead to 16-6.And then it was two, Nebraska took the second set 25-12.Denver got on the board first in the third set, but freshman Skyler Pierce tied things up quickly.It was Jackson with a massive block in the third set that got the crowd roaring.Check out this incredible rally that was finished by Jackson.Kennedi Orr came through with a one-handed set to allow Jackson to slam it down.
