CHANDLER, Ariz. — Poplar native Hunter Azure returned to MMA competition in a big way Saturday night, knocking out Amun Cosme with one punch in the second round to win the United Fight League bantamweight title at UFL 4.
MMAfighting.com described Azure's KO as "the most impressive highlight of his career, leveling Cosme with a devastating right hand."
Azure, 32, who joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship circuit in 2019 but was released in 2022 after going 1-2, improved to 11-3 for his career with four knockouts.
Azure, a 135.5-pounder, had last fought in March 2023 when he lost to Rico DiSciullo by knockout in Ultimate Fighter's Season 31 competition.

Azure was a four-time Class B state wrestling championship at Poplar before moving on to wrestle for Montana State-Northern.
