England are Europe's flat-track bullies.

Gareth Southgate's World Cup semi-finalists came up short in the summer's Nations League ties - losing after extra time to Holland and needing penalties to overcome Switzerland - but against the continent's lesser lights in Euro 2020 qualifying they have cut loose.

Five goals against Kosovo, four past Bulgaria, five past Montenegro and five in the opening group game against Friday night's opponents Czech Republic.

Which means we can expect plenty of entertainment in Prague - and goals.

Because while the Czech Republic are not the in the same league as their legendary European Championship winning side of Panenka, Nehoda, Ondrus and Masny, they still score goals.

They put three past Montenegro, two against Bulgaria, managed a consolation in a friendly defeat by Brazil and another in a defeat in Kosovo.

Which is why goals must be the staple of any bet on Friday night.

Both Teams To Score is a solid 17/20 with thepools.com, while Both Teams To Score and England to win is 11/5 .

The last time the Czechs failed to score at home was in 2016, and England have looked far from watertight in their last few matches.

Kosovo filled their boots in Southampton last time out and the Czechs will surely manage at least one, while England have goals throughout their forward line.

England To Win and Over 2.5 goals is a rock solid 6/5 , but the same outcome and Over 3.5 looks just as tempting at 13/5.

So who's going to score those goals?

You can't really look further than Raheem Sterling, a goal in each of his England appearances so far this season and 15/4 to score first in Prague and 23/20 anytime , while Harry Kane, four goals in two England appearances this season and nine in his last nine in all competitions, is 5/2 first scorer and 3/4 any time .

We shouldn't have to wait long for goals either. England conceded in the opening seconds to Kosovo and kept Montenegro out for only 17 minutes.

Over 1.5 goals in the first half is a huge 8/5 .

Portugal v Luxembourg

Portugal kick-off at the same time as England, and the confidence from winning the Nations League in June has been coursing through their veins.

After scoring four in Serbia they went one better in Lithuania, which is why they are as close to a sure thing to beat Luxembourg as you can get in football.

That's a 1/100 sure thing with thepools.com.

But while Portugal will win, don't go mad on the margin of victory.

Luxembourg have tightened up their defensive act considerably in recent seasons.

Ukraine and Northern Ireland could only scramble 1-0 wins against them in June and September respectively, Lithuania were held to a 1-1 draw in June and Luxembourg also scored against Serbia in a 3-1 defeat last time out in September.

That was one of only two occasions when they have lost by more than a single goal in their last FIFTEEN outings.

Fixtures in the new Nations League Second Division contributed to that, but last year they also beat Georgia (1-0) and Moldova (4-0) and held Senegal 0-0.

Under 3.5 goals at Evens has some appeal.

Iceland v France

Now here's a conundrum.

The World Cup winners have lost their last two away games, in Turkey and Holland, while Iceland have won their last three in Reykjavik.

And when these nations met in a friendly match last October in Guingamp, France needed two goals in the last four minuts to snatch a draw.

But this is all about levels. An inconsistent Turkey were one of the teams beaten in Iceland, along with Albania and Moldova.

While France put four past Iceland in their second Euro 2020 qualifier in Paris in March.

While Iceland are a huge 6/1 to score the upset, France at 4/9 is the much safer option - and France to win with Both Teams Scoring is a huge 5/2 .
