Nigeria's 29-Year Wait For Man Utd First-Teamer Continues, As Mourinho Omits KehindeNigeria's 29-year wait for a Manchester United first-teamer will continue as manager Jose Mourinho has opted not to name Lagos-born midfielder Tosin Kehinde in his 18-man squad for Saturday evening's Emirates FA Cup fifth round clash against Huddersfield Town.

Kehinde was missing from United's reserve team in their 4-0 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League 2 on Friday, fueling speculation that he's the mysterious kid Mourinho mentioned in his pre-match press conference that he will name in the squad to face the Terriers.

American-born defender of Nigerian parentage Matthew Olosunde was already out of reckoning, having gone the distance against the Blues yesterday.

The last player of Nigerian descent to represent the Red Devils first team was former Republic of Ireland defender Paul McGrath back in the 1988-89 season.

Nicky Ajose was tipped to break into United's first team after scoring goals aplenty for their youth teams, but left the Old Trafford side in 2011 without a single appearance to his name.

Man Utd Starting XI vs Huddersfield : Romero, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Matic, Carrick, McTominay, Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez.

Substitutes : Pereira, Bailly, Darmian, Gomes, Hamilton, Lingard, Martial
