Mohun Bagan have four points from their opening two fixtures of the I-League 2017-18 season. One of the reasons as to why they have wind in their sails is the fact that they have picked up the bragging rights from the Kolkata derby last weekend.

The Kolkata outfit next come up against Churchill Brothers on Sunday afternoon and coach Sanjoy Sen refused to take the Red Machines lightly.

“We are confident after out derby win but we are not over confident. We have to stay grounded and go for all three points. Churchill Brothers might have lost their opening game but that is a thing of the past. I am not reading into what has happened and it is a fresh start,” said Sen.

Star attacker Sony Norde asked his team-mates  to go into the game with a cautious approach and to not make the mistake of considering Churchill as an easy opponent.

“All teams that visit us will aim for three points and Churchill Brothers will not be any different. We have to be cautious against them,” opined the Haitian.

Churchill Brothers suffered a defeat in their opening I-League game and coach Mykola Shevchenko urged his team to go for a positive result in Kolkata.

“I know Mohun Bagan's might since my playing days and know how big the club is. We have to be at our best and play for a result.”
