Pacers down Blue Devils

POINT EDWARD – Blain Adams had a hat trick and three assists for the Point Edward Pacers in an 11-3 win over the London Blue Devils on Wednesday in the Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse League.

Korey Conroy added two goals and three assists in front of 111 fans at Point Edward Memorial Arena.

Cory Burr also scored twice for the Pacers (2-1-0), Brett Barnes had a goal and two assists, and Lucas Knowles added four helpers.

Dawson Vautour, Logan Scott and Matt Vince also scored. Winning goalie Braydon Bell stopped 23 of 25 shots in the first two periods, then Braiden Shaw stopped 12 of 13 in the third against the winless Blue Devils (0-8-0).

The Pacers will visit the Wallaceburg Red Devils (2-0-1) at 7 p.m. Friday and host the Welland Generals at 5 p.m. Saturday.

One-hitter for Wolfpack

Brett Allardyce and Jake Taylor combined on a one-hitter as the Great Lakes Wolfpack beat the Lambton Central Lancers 6-0 in Wednesday's season opener in the LKSSAA baseball league.

Jordan Marks had two hits and three stolen bases for the Wolfpack. Allardyce and Noah Best also had two hits apiece.

Lancers, Eagles tie

FOREST – Chloe Pretty scored two goals and Shayna McNally added one for the Lambton Central Lancers in a 3-3 tie with the North Lambton Eagles in LKSSAA senior girls soccer Wednesday.

Selena Dirven, Cassidy Sollen and Sydney Sollen scored for the Eagles.

Lambton Central and North Lambton tied 0-0 in the senior boys' league.
